| Abstract: | This paper presents the design of an indirect
adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller for a vector controlled induction motor position servo drive. The proposed adaptive controller takes advantage of sliding mode control (SMC) and proportional integral (PI) control. The chattering effect is attenuated and robust performance can be ensured. Moreover, the upper bound of the discontinuous control term is assumed to be unknown and adaptive algorithm is applied
to estimate it. The stability analysis for the adaptive control scheme is provided. Simulation example is presented to verify
the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
